This policy explains how S.M.P. Techno Services Ltd, trading as SMP Techno Services, handles website enquiries and business contact information, and the external features used by this website.
1. Controller and privacy contact
S.M.P. Techno Services Ltd is the controller for the website enquiries and business contact records described here. Our published contact address is Agiou Georgiou Store 37z, Latsia, Nicosia, 2231, Cyprus. For privacy questions or rights requests, email [email protected] or call +357 22000003.
2. Information and sources
- Enquiries: first and last name, email, telephone, company name if supplied, and your message.
- Service relationships: account and business contacts, service instructions, support correspondence, and relevant billing or contractual records.
- Technical requests: IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and security events associated with website use.
Information comes from you, an authorised colleague managing your organisation's services, or your use of the website. Submit only information relevant to your request. Do not put passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Answer enquiries and prepare services | Pre-contract steps requested by the individual, or legitimate interests in answering business enquiries. |
| Administer agreed services and support | Contract with a contracting individual; legitimate interests in organisational customer relationships for business contacts. |
| Protect the website and investigate misuse | Legitimate interests in secure, reliable operations, balanced against individual rights. |
| Meet applicable accounting and legal requirements | The relevant legal obligation. |
| Enable optional features requiring consent | Your consent, which can be withdrawn. |
Fields marked as required are needed to process the form as designed. Email and telephone contact are also available. Acknowledging this policy is not consent to marketing.
4. Data within customers' hosting
A customer normally determines why personal data is processed in its hosted website, email or application. Where SMP handles it only on the customer's instructions for hosting, support or backups, SMP acts as a processor. Applicable data processing terms govern that relationship.
For information held by a hosting customer, contact that customer as controller. SMP can assist within its processor responsibilities.
5. Cyprus infrastructure and external providers
Our hosting and colocation infrastructure, including backup datacentres, is located in Cyprus. Backups are encrypted. Access, backup coverage and recovery arrangements depend on the agreed service.
Cyprus hosting does not mean that every external website request stays in Cyprus. The website uses:
- Cloudflare: delivery, caching, protection and performance measurements. Technical request information may be processed across its international network. Cloudflare describes its Web Analytics measurement as using neither cookies nor local storage.
- Google: Maps and reCAPTCHA on the contact page. Once enabled, these features connect your browser to Google, which may receive network, device and interaction information.
- Technical library networks: code.jquery.com, ajax.googleapis.com, unpkg.com and cdnjs.cloudflare.com receive technical connection information when the browser loads their libraries.
Information may also be accessible to authorised staff and necessary professional advisers, or disclosed to authorities where legally required. Providers may act as processors or independent controllers for their own purposes. Ask us about providers involved in your particular service.
Cloudflare's published Data Processing Addendum describes its transfer arrangements, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and EU Standard Contractual Clauses for restricted transfers. Google's Privacy Policy describes worldwide processing and links to its transfer frameworks. Contact us for safeguards applicable to your service or a copy where available. External providers do not operate exclusively inside the EEA.

6. Retention criteria
An enquiry is needed until it has been answered and relevant follow-up has ended. Further retention must be justified by an ongoing relationship, a legal requirement or a necessary legal claim. Service and support records are assessed against the agreement and related issues. Accounting records follow statutory requirements. Security records are assessed against their operational and incident-investigation purpose rather than retained indefinitely solely because they exist.
Hosted content and backups follow the customer's service and data processing arrangements. Confirm retention and export before ending a service. Ask us for the period or criteria applicable to a particular record. This policy does not promise permanent backup storage or immediate deletion of records required by law.
7. Security
Technical and organisational safeguards are appropriate to the service and its risks. Encryption, controlled access, monitoring and backups help protect information, but no internet service is risk-free. Report suspected compromise promptly and do not send access credentials in an ordinary enquiry.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights are not absolute, including where law requires retention.
Email our privacy contact above. Proportionate identity verification may be required. Requests are generally answered within one month; a lawful extension can apply for complex or numerous requests, with notice to you.
You may complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting SMP does not remove that right.
The enquiry form does not automatically approve services, set contractual prices or enter agreements for you. Automated spam and security checks protect the website; email and telephone contact remain available.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small browser records. Session and security mechanisms can support website functions and prevent misuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics measurements are separate from Cloudflare protection cookies.
| Feature | Information |
|---|---|
| Joomla sessions | Support session-based functions. Identifiers and duration vary with configuration. |
| Cloudflare protection | Challenge or bot-protection cookies may be used according to the active security configuration; visits can differ. |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Provider-described cookie-free page and performance measurement, separate from advertising cookies. |
| Google Maps | An external location feature that may use Google's cookies or storage after loading. |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Contact-form spam protection that may use Google's cookies or storage. |
On the contact page, Maps and reCAPTCHA load only after you choose the corresponding enable button. Choices apply to that page visit and are not remembered through an advertising or preference cookie. You may decline and use email or telephone instead. Reloading or leaving the contact page stops these features from loading again without a fresh choice; it does not delete information or cookies already held by Google.
Browser settings allow inspection, blocking or removal of cookies, although blocking necessary mechanisms can affect security or forms. Continuing to browse is not consent to optional cookies.
10. Updates and questions
This policy may change as website features, services or requirements change. The date above identifies the published version. Contact [email protected] with questions about this notice or your hosting arrangement.
Project quote requests and form protection
When you use Build Your Project, we receive your name, organization, email address, telephone number, project configuration and any notes you choose to provide. Your IP address and a request reference are included in the request sent to our support team so we can handle your enquiry and protect the form from abuse. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive credentials.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated submissions. This security service processes technical browser and network information as described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. The form uses a session security token and short-lived abuse-prevention records. These records use a keyed identifier for the IP address rather than storing the raw IP in the rate-limit files. The IP address remains part of the enquiry received by our support team.
We use this information to respond to your requested quote and for our legitimate interest in protecting the website. Retention of enquiry correspondence follows the principles described above. Contact [email protected] to ask about your personal data.
